i just finished watching the movie and im still confused on what happened but the only thing that i can say is that i ✨cried✨ even if im in confusion

------------ NO SPOILERS HERE ---------Just watched the film. And by the gods, the sound track is amazing. The film overall is a 6/10. The first part of the film is 10/10 for me. Loved every interaction between the heroine, protagonist, and elder protagonist.Visuals for first part and second part of the film are wonderful 10/10Lighting and quality is literally the best it can be 11/10OST 12/10Second part of the film -10/10 NEGATIVE TEN (Super disorganized)The ending could have been better presented. It felt really unstable and rushed. I watched it online, and skipped a few seconds a head, so I couldnt see the ending with everyone on the moon. So I thought the movie ended with the elder Naomi dying and that's that. I watched AFTER WORLD ONA and still felt the movie is lacking. It is not as fulfilling as it should beAlso this film is very much like an anime version of Source Code (2011)------------ MAJOR SPOILERS ---------------------- Final Warning ---------- There are many theories about the film complied across many different outlets.The two strongest theory about the film's ending are the following:1. Naomi got struck by lighting but survived, and Ruri Ichigyou got brain damage. Thus, Naomi spend years studying and became part of the Lab responsible for the quantum machine. He dived into the virtual world, and used a method to bring Ichigyou back to life. (As represented by the movie). But because the diving suit damaged his spine, in the actual world, Naomi became a vegetable. Ichigyou, who is now safe in the real world, now used more advanced machinery and replicated Naomi's entire experience prior to his brain death. Two virtual worlds are made and nested. The first level virtual world believe themselves to be the real world ( the one with the older Naomi). The second level virtual world is unaware of their enviorment (tthe younger Naomi resides here). The first level virtual world is probably on a loop, because Naomi is fixated on saving Ichigyou. He's in a perpetual state of trying to save Ichigyou, because he never saw himself saving Ichigyou in the real world. Therefore, the second level virtual world is made to present a situation where Naomi "finally gets to see Ichigyou's smile". Then, the older Naomi returns to the real world, while the younger Naomi is brought to a different quantum reality due to quantum black magic. 2. Naomi didnt survive the lightning strike at all. Ichigyou was the one that was fine. The entire movie was just Ichigyou using two virtual worlds trying to bring Naomi back to life. The first virtual world with the older Naomi is the one that keeps on looping. The second virtual world was made as an solution / answer to the loop, thus bringing Naomi back to the real world.

When you realize it wasn't Naomi who changed the world.And the yatagarasu wasn't measuring Ruri's mental/emotional state but Naomi's.Once you understand, this movie jumps from great to effin' epic.

Plz for god’s sake quit comparing it to your name. I love the movie, don’t be fooled, but seriously quit it! This movie and that movie are just completely different

for those who don't know Japanese, I'll try my best to translate with my 3 months of Japanese studying experience(0:21) --> The main character, the dude, his 10 year older self travels back in time and tells him that he makes a girlfriend. I'm assuming it's the girl that slapped him in the following scene. (0:49) 10 year older protagonist warns his 10 year younger self that an accident is waiting to occur. (0:52) He says he needs self and will save her. (1:03) without a translation, obviously, something weird is happening. This is all an English speaker would need to know if they don't speak Japanese. I can't translate the whole thing, because like I said, I've only studied the language for 3 months and if I did, I could've just added subtitles

This movie SciFi elements and worldbuilding just straight sucked ass. Nothing makes sense even if you think about it. I thought this movie would be like The Thirteenth Floor but then it just continue breaking the rules it already established for no reason. And then the MC can just do something out of no other reason than "Love". 3/10
