A nice and likeable Zaku pilot from the 1 year war. This gives me some "Gundam 0080: War in the pocket" flashbacks, I'm not optimistic about that guy's fate.

Honestly like many of the commentors here I would love to have the original MSG anime remade be it in Origin animation style or one closer to Thunderbolt to match the original style. Either way, while the original Anime is still a gem, the animation is VERY dated and a remake would also allow for them to include and tweak all the canon additions made since then.

I’d like to think that this rather abrupt theatrical episode of "The 1st" Gundam series is like flying up a trial kite by the creator side. If this was a success in every aspect, we could see the whole original TV series get re-animated with the cutting-edge anime quality and modern story concept. Must go to cinema in June!

If BD make a gundam for teenagers, make a thunderbolt with AC/DC music， If BD make a gundam for real touching story, make a 0083 With human actor like HBO shows! Or build a universe for any age like mandalorian series! Wait , what is this!? New gundam fans don’t know this, old gundam fans won’t buy a poor story even you use 0079 as background ! I wish Hollywood writers could write a Gundam TV series for adults talks about independent issues between side 1-6 and federal, father and son’s issues between Dr. Rayand and Amuro,the relationship and struggles of members in whitebase ! We are adults who watch 0079 universe in school age, that doesn’t means BD should make more 0079 OVA with poor story and wish us to buy its toys in 2022. BD needs consider to change its marketing strategies, no more room left there for this company .

Sunrise needs to get past the whole idea of a modern audience, especially an American one, that would actually go through the trouble of watching the original 0079 Gundam. Remaking the anime in a more streamlined fashion, with a higher budget for animation, like Unicorn and Thunderbolt, would only serve to bring back old fans and simultaneously introduce new fans to the original story.This would make entry into the Universal Century even easier for any newcomers.
