The movie has a good premise actually, but it failed to build the suspense and the ending is really dry. The visual of Baphomet also looks like a cheap minotaur cosplay, nothing scary at all. If they can't give a visual that scares the audience they should just keep the presence ambiguous to maintain the psychological fear that it will bring. I laughed hard when they reveal the Baphomet and it kill all imaginary fear that you are visualizing about hell.

OK, right from the start, that teen girl annoyed me right away. Good thing she wasn't there for most of the movie, lol. They had good intentions with the story but failed to deliver imo. It's linear & pretty simple, not to say lame in the way it is told. When they could have given us more once we knew a bit more, the movie ends. Add to that a couple dumb lines & behavior & you have some disappointing moments. The acting is just basic & not that convincing to me. The counting thing made them turn into zombies kind of, into robots almost, which was ridiculous. On the plus side, I like the fact that they '' attempted '' to spook/scare us many times throughout the movie with creepy/thrilling scenes. It runs for 1h29. Still going to give it a thumbs down because of not doing what it should have for me.

Truly awful. This movie hits nearly every tired, old cliche in the book. I turned this off after 15 minutes. It was unbearable, in the most literal sense of the word. Anyone rating this higher than a 3/10 either has an IQ below 80 or is a shill for the company.

This is an absolute dumb movie i have ever seen. No wonder the casting director has only Elisha Cuthbert, a past wannabe actress trying to come back to the mainstream. COme on, shudder films? I guess the whole company has no brains.

Happy to see Elisha Cuthbert's return, especially in a horror movie. She did an amazing job, as far as the movie goes, I am honestly impressed, the movie kept me on my toes the entire time. I love horror movies where the characters have to decipher things and the origin of everything that's happening to them goes back many years. At the beginning it was a little silly, but other than that solid 7/10. Some critics that disliked this movie might say my taste in movies is shit by rating it a 7/10, but with horror movies the expectations are always too high and people are never pleased when it comes to horror, either the plot is unoriginal, boring, repetitive, too many jump scares not enough jump scares, not enough character development, unlikeable etc. Anyways to me the storyline had substance to it and I very much enjoyed it.

For the people who check trailers before watching, the movie was just ok and that’s being generous. It was cliche at times. Had some good build up and suspense initially but not enough happened. The end wasn’t as shocking as the suspense built it up to be and was kinda dry. Felt like a PG horror movie. I personally think horror is best when there is little to no face to what the danger is or if the danger is from within or is a shocking surprise. This danger was cliche, when I saw it I literally made this face “?” (But I watched with headphones on so it did jump scare me a little lol). But this Served more as like a mystery/thriller. You can probably do without seeing this one. Keep searching lol.

I loved this movie so much and nice come back Elisha Cuthbert. She looks so good and it is like as if she hasn't aged from her movie ''house of wax'', she is so beautiful and I love the ending how she ends up in brown vest lol only in the movie house of wax she was wearing a white vest Please Elisha make part 2 of House of wax. Such a beautiful actress and I love her acting.

This movie is baby poop. They ruined the original by making it into a feature length. Director obviously got lucky with the short, because the backstory he wrote to fill in the mystery behind the steps is so played out and leans on ever horror troupe in the book. Just felt like another drop in the bucket of empty, soulless blumhouse style modern horrors.

I always thought that what pissed me off the most in horror movies was needless jumpscares but watching this movie I realised : what really annoys me is women doing some dumb shit.
