I saw somewhere in the comments section that someone had an issue with that dog scene being too dramatic but psychopathy is a biological manifestation and there is research to support that dogs can detect threats like that. So the scene where the dog goes ballistic with Ted looking at him is not that far-fetched!

Another case where law enforcement couldn't do its job. He was jailed and escaped once. Thrusted the judicial system into the entertainment business by televising the trial Sad case for the women and families who were murdered.

The movie mentioned nothing of Bundy being a necrophiliac or his decapitation of girls and keeping their heads in the fridge. I suppose it wouldn’t have fit the glamourised version they wanted to convey. Bundy was an abomination, not subject matter for entertainment purposes. Shame.

Still don't buy Zac Efron's performance. Yes he is naturally handsome the perfect son in law so to speak but Bundy if you look at his interviews were a lot more complex, on his face and in his eyes you could perceive at times the sheer madness, inner struggle to portray a sane person and his sense of humour was quite dry and sarcastic, egotistic with a certain arrogance. At times when you watch Bundy's interviews, it felt like a teacher giving a lecture totally assertive and yet when in difficulty he would appear stuttering like a frail teenager caught in the act. Bundy had an element of madness in the gesture and stares that Efron has not quite captured either in my view. It is a very difficult character to play, one that requires rehersal to almost a theatrical degree. I still see Efron and that's the problem with Hollywood, very few actors can really go beyond their own persona because that's what they promote. Efron plays the cute guy with a six pack, that's what he does and okay he tried to be a bit more but I still the charmer Efron, I don't see the manipulator devilishly charming Bundy. Skinny Joaquin Phoenix would have been more convincing or maybe Jake Gyllenhaal if you think of his performance in Nightcrawler and it comes down to acting sometimes just with your face without a word. Zac Efron is not this type of actors. I see Efron, I don't see Bundy and if you have watched a lot of videos of Bundy, I cannot see how you could match the two. Bundy in court was given a real theatrical performance going down to the grotesque, he was on a World of his own absolutely convinced of his intellectual superiority to a point where he would alienate himself from the jury. I think the Director went for the vague physical ressemblance rather than the ability to play a deeply disturbed character.

This movie was EXCELLENT! Zac Efron IS Ted Bundy. For the first time in history they cast an actor that looks like and is Ted Bundy. Zac Efron put it down! ??? Lily Collins did an outstanding job playing Liz. This is the first time the public can see who Ted Bundy was as a human being beyond his horrid acts. I truly believe that he really loved Liz, but he was sick. He had a demon within that he couldn't get past. It's hard to believe that a man could love a woman as much as he loved Liz and little Molly yet commit such heinous crimes. This is one of my favorite Netflix movies. I will never forget this film. John Malkovich was brilliant and delivered as always. He was the perfect choice to play the judge. Great film! ????

I read the book this film was based on. They didn't want this dragged up. Or cooperate initially. Bundy abused the partners child when she was 6 or so. She said she would shoot him to prevent him killing again. Why are they putting child killing paedophile in Hollywood movies. Also she reported his name 3 occasions.

Came here from the Netflix docuseries and I have got to give it to Effron for absolutely nailing those expressions. It's CRAZY how well Effron's physical description matches Ted Bundy's, specially the long protruding nose on the side profile.
